Joe Martin - Director of Food and Beverage, Papago Golf Course

Joe Martin has been named director of food and beverage for Papago Golf Course and will immediately assume responsibility for overseeing all F&B operations for the golf course and adjacent Lou’s Bar & Grill. Martin held a similar position with OB Sports Golf Management which oversees operations for Papago Golf Course from 2011-2014 at ASU Karsten Golf Course.

Martin’s daily duties in his new position include conceptualization of the restaurant program at Lou’s including fare, ingredients, menu and servicescape as well as the supervision and management of day-to-day food and beverage operations on the property including inventory control, ordering, staffing and customer relations.

Martin has 22 years of F&B experience 20 years in the Valley and has held F&B director positions at a number of high-end Phoenix-area restaurants and resorts including Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa and the Graduate Hotel Tempe. Most recently, Martin comes from the Camby Hotel where he oversaw F&B operations for the 281 room, luxury urban hotel.

Jenine Gonzalez - assistant food and beverage director, Papago Golf Course

Jenine Gonzalez will immediately assume the role of assistant food and beverage director for Papago Golf Course and Lou’s Bar & Grill and assist with restaurant operations. Gonzalez also was employed at The Camby Hotel in Phoenix, working as the food and beverage manager. Before that, Gonzalez was the front of house manager at Hillstone Restaurant Group, where she was responsible for the management of FOH operations for multiple locations within the group. Gonzalez holds a bachelor of science from Arizona State University.

Kelli Meirick - director of catering & special events, Papago Golf Course

Kelli Meirick was named director of catering and special events for Papago Golf Course and will assume property-wide responsibilities for large and small group events, weddings and conferences. Most recently, Meirick worked at The Camby Hotel as the catering manager and restaurant sales coordinator.

Meirick holds a bachelor of arts in interdisciplinary studies with a focus in communication and family and human development from Arizona State University.
