Thanksgiving is right around the corner which means the start of the holiday party season. Holiday parties are typically held in the early weeks of December leading up to Christmas. Holiday parties are still popular amongst companies big and small. According to one study, about 90% of companies throw a holiday party for their employees. A great holiday party contains three important characteristics: atmosphere, decor and refreshments (food and beverage).

Atmosphere

Lou’s Bar and Grill has a cool-clean, stone-and-steal atmosphere with open spaces that feature an inclusive, indoor-outdoor feel. The wide open space is made even more airy when the massive garage style and wall sized sliding doors are opened. The al fresco dining room and patio seating overlooking green lawns and golf course views provides a perfect setting for small to medium sized groups. The restaurant features a rectangular bar with indoor and outdoor seating on two sides when the windows are drawn up. The atmosphere is open and inviting with comfortable indoor and outdoor seating, fire pits,cornhole, spectacular views of the golf course and The Papago Buttes.

Decor

Lou’s will be decorated in holiday decor for the season. However the restaurant is named Lou’s Bar and Grill in honor of Phoenix business icon, Lou Grubb, who ran an automotive empire in the Valley for decades. The restaurant has a rustic, garage style feel to it. Showcasing classic cars and other classic pieces that represent Grubb’s automative empire.

Food and Beverage

Culinary experience that ranges from downhome to downtown. Brian Cooper, leads the culinary team as executive chef at Lou’s Bar and Grill. Cooper’s experience in the kitchen extends way beyond his more than three decades as a chef; he learned the basics, rice, beans, homemade tortillas and tamales, at a young age from his Honduran mother. From there, Cooper embarked on a formal culinary career that began at the renowned Scottsdale Culinary Institute which launched him to places as diverse as Costa Rica, Alaska, New Mexico and Washington. The rectangular bar features a number of unique cocktails, wine and beer on tap, from our Lou’s custom cocktails, local Four Peaks brew on tap, to our wide selection of red and white wine.
